Increase daily turnaround time of pathology consults using Lab information software and 2D barcode tracking technology.
— Results
  • Increased daily production from 75% to 95% (average) of department consultations using single piece workflow technology.

  • Improved daily turnaround time roughly 10 - 12 hours for department consultations. With a goal of less than 24 hours

  • Overall turnaround time: ~10 hour daily turnaround time

  • Previous turnaround time was 24 - 48 hours (roughly 1-2 days) for all department consultations.
